Commander: Bobby, it’s great to see you back in Las Vegas.
Slayton: Well, it’s great to be back in Las Vegas, Commander.

Commander: You were at Hooters for 2 years. You drove in town every week, didn’t you?
Slayton: Yeah, I started flying, and then I just couldn’t wait to get out and see my dog, so I’d drive home on Sunday night (after my show) and halfway through the drive, about midnight, I’d go, “What am I thinking?” and I’d get home at 2:00am and I’d drive back on Wednesday. Yeah, it was pretty brutal.

Commander: What do you do for 4 hours in the car each way?
Slayton: I listen to Sirius XM Radio and I’d talk to myself a lot.

Commander: Did you ever get a response?
Slayton: Yeah, unfortunately, I have a lot of different personalities, so it’s always interesting. You never knew what would come up. It was great.

Commander: Did you ever bring the dog? I understand his name is Gizmo?
Slayton: Gizmo, my boy, my son. I have a 22 year-old daughter and a 7 year-old Min Pin (Miniature Pincher). No, I never brought him to Vegas. I’m not that gay!

Commander: Do you think that he’s upset?
Slayton: No, ‘cause he’s very happy when I come home. Because every week I come home, he gets a gift. So he likes when I leave, ‘cause he knows he’s gonna get something. My wife doesn’t get jack shit, but my dog always gets a gift. If I could find something to give my wife that costs 4 bucks and I’d get home, and she’d like my balls, she’d get a present!

Commander: Did you get any frequent flyer miles driving?
Slayton: No, but my car, my lease, when it was up, I owed the car company another $3,000. I would have been better off flying.

Commander: So are you going to end up in Vegas sometime in the near future?
Slayton: I hope so! Just coming back and hanging around with you guys... I love this town. I come here just to eat dinner. I love this town. Plus my wife stays in LA, that’s even a better... better benefit! SLV
